Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is celebrated every year to honour musicians in Ghana and outside the country as well.  This year the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was competitive unlike the previous editions where an artist could receive about five to six awards.  On the night, the program was hosted by radio and TV host Berla Mundi and the famous actor John Dumelo. 2017 artist of the year Joe Mettle kick start the program with his hits songs 'Owawani and Bo noo ni'. Ghanaian hip-hop recording artist and entrepreneur Michael Owusu Addo ,known by his stage name Sarkodie disclosed  his disappointment in African leaders .The BET award winner advised the youth to make the best out of the little they have and not to allow the love of money to be their weakness.  In his facebook post , he said, "The new generation should start researching and change our "brainwashed" thinking on politics or else Africa will stay way back until the end of time ... Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale win big at the 3 Music Awards which was held on 24th March, 2018 at the Fantasy Dome inside the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.  The 3 Music Awards was hosted by the CEO of Black Avenue Music  D-Black and actress Joselyn Dumas. BET award winner,Stonebwoy delivered an outstanding performance and also left the Fantasy Dome with three awards. The CEO of Sarkcess Music Sarkodie and African Dancehall King,Shatta Wale went home with four awards each.
